UFC GYM generates more than 100,000 referral leads with Netpulse
Leading fitness industry mobile app provider Netpulse has advised that UFC GYM, a client who uses their full suite of mobile tools, exceeded 100,000 referral leads in the first half of 2017, just six months after launching their mobile app.
With over 140 locations throughout the world, UFC GYM gives UFC enthusiasts and fitness seekers of all ages the opportunity to practice the training techniques of famed UFC athletes.
The franchise has grown rapidly with more than 50 locations opening in the past two years and over 50 locations planned for next year.
Explaining that UFC GYM realised digital would be a critical component in supporting their growth, Britta Phillips, Digital Marketing Manager at UFC GYM stated “we see our app as - primarily - a marketing tool ... an integral component of our onboarding process, where we introduce it for class booking, fitness challenges, and very importantly, referrals.”
During the first three months of the year, UFC GYM ran a referral campaign where each referral members made earned them a raffle ticket for a potential $4,000 prize. To make a referral, members simply open the UFC mobile app, select friends from their contact list, and the app generates a text message with a unique referral link that is sent to the friend.
In addition to Mobile Referrals in their app, UFC GYM leverages Netpulse’s Rewards program to motivate members in the gym, allowing them to automatically earn points and redeem prizes as they check in, refer friends and log workouts.
